Illinois Central College welcomed students who accepted membership into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. The local chapter is Upsilon Mu at ICC.
Sixty-five ICC students recently accepted membership into Phi Theta Kapa Honor Society during the Fall 2017 semester.
The following students earned a position on the University of Evansville Dean's List for academic achievements during the Spring Semester 2018.
In March, eight Illinois Central College students competed in events as part of the National Post-secondary Agricultural Student (PAS) Organization in Louisville, Ky. The conference included more than 600 students in career planning and preparation events from 62 chapters in 18 states.The students had to receive first place in their event at the Illinois state event to qualify for nationals. Student teams had to win first or second place in the state event to qualify. Teams placed 1st overal in the Soils Specialist category and 9th in the Crop Specialist category. Three students also placed 1st in their respective categories -- John Hendricks in the Soils Specialist category, Nikki Chambliss in the Agriculture Equipment Service interview, and Devin McGinnis in the Livestock Production interview category.
More than 700 graduates completed their respective program requirements at Illinois Central College during the Summer and Fall 2017 semesters.
ICC Career and Technical students participated in the Annual Fall Post-Secondary Agricultural Student (PAS) conference and contest at the Bloomington IAA building on Friday, Oct. 28. Students completed in interview contests and in industry related practicums. Students from the Horticulture, Agriculture, and Diesel Powered Equipment Program took home many individual and team awards.

Members of the ICC Agri-Business Club brought home numerous honors in the Illinois Post Secondary Agricultural Student Society State Conference (PAS) held on Friday October 23, in Bloomington, Ill.
Several ICC students won First Place in "Best Film" for their team submission of the film "Future Mr. Shop 'n' Save" at the 48-Hour Filmmakers Fest 2016 at the Peoria Riverfront Museum on Oct. 15. ICC students, including Graphic Design, Multimedia and undeclared majors, as well as an alum, teamed up and competed on their own time and outside of any ICC curriculum or class. The 48-Hour Filmmakers Fest is a competition open to professionals and non-professionals alike and gives aspiring filmmakers of all ages the chance to create a 3-5-minute movie in just 48 hours. Each film, from writing and shooting to editing and sound design, had to be created during Fri., Oct. 7, and Sun., Oct. 9. On Sat., Oct. 15, all submissions were screened at the Giant Screen Theater at the Peoria Riverfront Museum, and the winner and runner-up were announced. Illinois Central College, East Peoria, released the names of students who earned academic honors during the Spring 2011 semester. The following local students received the honor:
ICC Paralegal Program students completed their summer internships at various law firms, state's attorney's offices, legal aid offices, as well as local businesses. They earned 225 hours of real-world paralegal experience over the course of an eight-week summer semester. These ABA Approved Paralegal Program students did a fantastic job. Congratulations!
